MINOT – A Lewiston woman and her two children were injured Thursday after a late-afternoon rollover crash on Jackson Hill Road.

Androscoggin County Sheriff’s officials said Robin Chambler, 31, lost control of her car at about 5:15 p.m. and rolled the Ford Escort onto its side.

Chambler and her children, a 7-year-old son and 10-year-old daughter, were taken to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston. They were evaluated at the hospital and later released.

Police and medical crews found Chambler’s car rolled onto its passengers side at the side of Jackson Hill Road. Auburn police closed a long section of the road in that city while sheriff’s officials began their investigation.

Sheriff’s Lt. Rielly Bryant said it was believed Chambler suffered a medical condition that may have caused her to lose control of her car.

“It looks like she may have blacked out and lost control of the car, rolling it into the ditch,” Bryant said.

The crash remained under investigation Thursday night.
