Dear Sun Spots: On May 27, the Bethel Historical Society will hold its annual St. Never’s Day sale and is looking for good salable items – no clothing or obsolete computer equipment – to benefit the organization’s operating budget. Items may be left at the society at 10 Broad St., on the back porch of the O’Neil Robinson House or on the side porch at my house, 18 Broad St. For pick up in the greater Bethel area, please call the society office at 824-2908.

We are also inviting others to join us under a tent on my side lawn overlooking the Bethel Common. Rental of each 70-inch-by-30-inch table will be $20 and will be assigned on a first come, first served basis. Please call our number above or e-mail us at info@bethelhistorical.org. – Stan Howe, Bethel.

Dear Sun Spots: Could you please provide a contact address for Aaron Lewis of the group Staind? I’d also like a contact for Bucky Covington of American Idol. – No Name, No Town.

Answer: According to www.answers.com, Lewis, born April 13, 1972, in Springfield, Mass., is the lead vocalist of the hard rock/post-grunge group Staind. Lewis is renowned for his songwriting skills and has been nominated for three Grammys.

His main trademark is his shaved head. His hobbies include fishing, golf and riding his mini dirt bike. He worked landscaping, cleaned hotel rooms and played solo acoustic sets in bars around Atlanta. He is married to Vanessa Lewis and has two daughters, Zoe Jane and Nyla Rae, as well as two sisters Yvette and Rachel, and two brothers Justin and Ian. As of 2006, Lewis is the only member of the band who is married and has children.

In addition, you and other fans might be interested in noting that the group will perform at Hampton Beach in New Hampshire on June 1 and in Boston on June 3. For more on the group, along with their tour dates, tickets and possible contact for Lewis, check out their Web site at www.staind.com.

Regarding your question on where to contact Bucky, aka William, Covington, you can send all postal mail to Bucky Covington, c/o Covington’s Body Shop, 584 Mill Road, Hamlet, NC 28345. In addition, you might be interested in checking out his Web site at www.buckycovingtononline.com. You can try e-mailing him via the Web site, but you should note that due to the volume of those received and other obligations, he is unable to respond via e-mail.

Dear Sun Spots: My husband has recently been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. I know that the local hospitals offer diabetes education courses but I’m wondering if there are any support groups around town? Thanks. – Katrina Johndro, Danville.

Answer: Sun Spots has not located any, but perhaps there are readers out there who know of some and would be willing to share those resources with you.

Dear Sun Spots: This is for the person who wrote in about a yellow porcelain table top with an ink stain.

If it’s truly a porcelain and not just a painted surface, I would try Soft Scrub or some similar product. Use gently and follow it by a Clorox solution of 1 teaspoon Clorox to a cup of water. Repeat if needed.

I truly enjoy Sun Spots and have gleaned a lot of information from it over the years. – Mary Morin, No Town.
