SABATTUS – Hollis and Janice Winslow of Sabattus celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary recently at the Village Inn in Auburn. Friends and family attended the event.
Kenneth and Olivette Spencer of Sabattus, who were at the Winslow’s marriage ceremony, sat at the head table with them. They were the best man and maid of honor at the wedding.
Decorations were gold balloons, streamers and white and yellow flowers. A three-tier anniversary cake was served.
The couple received a money tree and were given a large portrait of their five children together. The last time the children had a portrait together was 37 years ago.
The couple was married on Dec. 31, 1955.
Their children are Jerry Winslow of Lewiston, Lorna Winslow of Topsham, Holly Dostie of Mechanic Falls, Shawn Winslow of Sabattus and Stacy Dostie of Sabattus. They also have 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
