LEWISTON – The Central Maine Christian Academy recently held its closing program for the school year for parents and friends.
Held at South Lewiston Baptist Church, the program opened with songs by the toddler day-care children and the preschoolers and kindergartners, followed by music from the first- through third-graders. Students from the fourth through sixth grades performed a skit titled “God is an Awesome God,” accompanied by junior Joel Marchand on his guitar.
Students from the speech class in the junior and senior high school presented a pantomime, “Nails in Your Hands.”
The CMCA chorus and instrumental ensemble concluded the evening with a variety of worship songs.
Staff members and volunteers were recognized for their contributions to the school. Included among them were Cynthia Cormier, Patricia St. Hilaire, Julie Corff, Bonnie Garman, Tammy Paquette, Ann Nicholas, Loriann Duperry, Tammy Boutot, Michelle Corff, Heather Burgess.
Also, Michele Hall, Dawn Sullivan, Tom Clark, Michael Nyberg, Cindy Boisse, Heidi Warner, Amanda Malo, Larry Campbell, B.J. Jones, Paul Chabot, Kevin Fish, Harmony Gagne, Margaret Larlee, Megan Corff, Mary Jane Myer, Rebecca Lewis, Chavonne Duteau, Claire Barclay, Darlene Conant and Denva Corff.
The school is accepting applications for its toddler day-care program and its 2006-2007 school year for students in preschool, kindergarten and grades one through 12. For more information, call the school at 777-0007.
