Dear Sun Spots: I’m hoping you can help. I have a 1957 cookbook that I would like to get re-covered. It’s a hard cover. No one in Lewiston will do just one book. Can you or readers please help? – Phil in Lewiston.

Answer: In addition to responses from readers, Sun Spots spoke with Clayton Crummett, who says he’ll be happy to help. He says cookbooks are like Bibles, and it’s hard to give them up. Rest assured he’s re-covered books in pretty bad shape from as far south as Virginia. He says you can contact him Monday to Friday and leave a message if he’s not available. He can be reached at No. 155, Route 115, Windham, 892-9512.

Dear Sun Spots: Could you please give me Garth Brooks’ address. – No Name, No Town.

Dear Sun Spots: You have helped me several times, and I would appreciate it again. Could you please get me the address for Paula Deen. She is on the Food Network. Thank you. – Monica M., No Town.

Answer: According to Food Network’s Web site, they note that schedules for the celebrity chefs do not permit them to respond to individual questions nor does the network share their personal contact information. You might try writing to her in the care of Food Network, 75 Ninth Avenue, New York, NY 10011.

Dear Sun Spots: My mother-in-law is looking for a crochet pattern with a Coca-Cola symbol in the pattern. I have tried the Internet with no success. Also to the person looking for a store that sells authentic Native American items: Try Route 1 in Wiscassett. The store there has a good quantity of jewelry, music, clothing items and Native American crafts. I have visited the store in the past with pleasing results. – Justina, Jay.
