EAST DIXFIELD – Countryfolk Music Theatre Friday night jam sessions continue this week with guest performer Bob Thibodeau of South Paris. A well-known country musician, he has played at Downeast CMA and Maine CMA events as well as at Pigeon Forge, Tenn., in international competition.
Thibodeau will perform from 8 to 9 p.m. tonight, following a jam session that will also include “Cack” Bean of West Paris, Caela Waite, keyboard and vocals of Turner, Forrest Blood of Jay and many of the regular musicians who attend.
Countryfolk Friday Night, always free and open to the public, starts at 5 p.m. with a potluck meal, campfire and music.
Bring chairs, food (something to share) family, musicians and friends.
Sunday, July 16, Sandy Waite of Farmington will be the featured performer on the main stage at the music theater. Well-known in the area, Waite has been singing at special events, including country jamborees, and has been host on the Musicians of Maine TV Show at Mt. Blue TV 11.
Also performing will be country music recording artist Vicki Lee of Biddeford. Lee is a well-known performer/songwriter whose songs are being played worldwide. She will perform from 1:20 to 2 p.m. Other musicians who will take to the stage are The Off The Hill Band, Temple Stream, The Vintage Pickers from Jay (Herman Leblanc and Forrest Blood) and Livermore singer-songwriter Terry Moore with backup by Maurice Melanson and Bernie Kilbreth, of Jay and Canton, respectively.
Sunday performances run from noon to 6 p.m.
