LOVELL – The Brick Church for the Performing Arts will present Julie Goell’s “Opening Night Carmen” on July 20. Goell transforms mops, brooms and other cleaning supplies into a cast of characters and performs the whole opera.

She has a degree in theater and has completed further study in music, both instrumental and voice. Besides teaching clown and eccentric performance, Goell plays bass with The Casco Bay Tummlers, a klezmer band, and tours “Opening Night Carmen.”
