BOSTON (AP) – The Boston Bruins have agreed to terms with former Boston College defenseman Bobby Allen and five other free agents on Monday.

The other unrestricted free agents were goaltender Brian Finley and left wings Nate DiCasmirro, Jeremy Reich and Dennis Packard. Also Monday, the team re-signed restricted free agent defenseman Andrew Alberts to a one-year contract.

Allen, 27, played four years at Boston College and had 110 points in 167 games while leading the Eagles to the 2001 NCAA championship. Originally drafted by the Bruins with the 52nd overall pick in 1998, he played one season in Providence before being traded to Edmonton in a deal that brought Sean Brown to Boston.

Finley, 25, was Nashville’s first pick, sixth overall, in the 1999 draft and has spent most of the time since then with the Predators’ AHL affiliate in Milwaukee.

DiCasmirro, 27, played four minor-league seasons in the Edmonton organization. Reich played five seasons in the Blue Jackets organization last season led Providence with 235 penalty minutes in 77 games.

Packard, 24, has played the last two seasons in the minors for the Tampa Bay Lightning. Alberts, 25, another BC product, spent most of his first full pro season in Boston in 2005-06 with one goal and six assists and 68 penalty minutes in 73 games.
