School-based health centers in Lewiston and Auburn are offering sports screens (physicals). The screenings will take place at Edward Little High School on August 1 and Lewiston High on August 2, from 8 a.m., to 4 p.m. Cost is $25. Appointments are required. Candidates must pick up information packets at their school’s main office prior to the screeening. The school office is open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday. Tryouts are set
The Maine Baseball and Fast Pitch College Prospect Teams (high school), sponsored by the Frozen Ropes Training Center in Portland, will conduct tryouts on July 31 for fast pitch softball and August 12 for baseball. For more information call 878-2600.
