Afternoon event is for kids

PARIS – The Paris Recreation Department announces two performances in Moore Park, Route 26, on Wednesday, Aug. 2, as part of the town’s 2006 Summer Entertainment Series.

Portland-based a cappella group Audiologic will host a children’s show from 10 a.m. to noon. In case of rain, the event will be at the Paris Fire Hall on Western Avenue.

Waterford-based a cappella ensemble Vocal Solution will perform from 6 to 8 p.m. In case of rain, the event will be at the First Congregational Church, across from the Mildred M. Fox Elementary School on East Main Street.

Admission to both events is free and open to the public. Those attending concerts are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket. Guests are welcome to pack a picnic, too.
