ORONO – Lewiston High school graduate Laura Martel came off the bench to score the game’s only goal to lift Maine to a 1-0 women’s soccer triumph over New Hampshire in Anerican East play.

Veronique Fleury set up the game-winner to Martel, who slipped past a Wildcat defender and broke in alone. Martel booted the ball over goalie Lynn Gugliuzza’s head into the top corner of the cage at 85:05.

Maine (9-1-1) has not allowed a first-half goal all season.
