LEWISTON – Lewiston-Auburn Rotary Club will meet at noon Thursday, Oct. 12, at the Ramada Inn. Members will hear a presentation by Scott Hayward, site manager for KidsPeace, 35 Westminster St.
Hayward is a licensed clinical social worker. He obtained his bachelor’s degree at the University of Southern Maine and master’s degree at the University of New England. He has worked with abused and neglected children in Maine for 11 years. Hayward has lived in Maine since he was a year old.
KidsPeace is a national organization with a mission to help children suffering in abusive and unsafe homes wherever and however it can. In Maine it provides intensive home-based services to try to keep families together, therapeutic faster homes and structured residential treatment programs. Hayward will offer statistics on KidsPeace success rate in Maine.
