JAY – Lucas Fisher, 23, turned himself in to police Wednesday night after police learned his whereabouts from phone tips called in that day.
He had been wanted for several weeks in connection with a burglary at the Hillside Sports Club in Jay. He was arrested on a warrant for possession of stolen property and violation of bail conditions, Jay Police Chief Larry White said Thursday.
“We received numerous phone calls with tips, and they were all good ones,” White said.
After a day of back-and-forths between Fisher’s mother, Fisher and the department, White said the wanted man called and told the chief where to meet him. He is being held at the Franklin County Jail.
“The investigation is ongoing,” White said of the case.
