WEST POLAND – Announcement is made of the engagement of Bethany Johnson and Robert Hamer Jr., both of Port Matilda, Pa.

Miss Johnson is the daughter of Martha R. Burnell of Tyrone, Pa., and Terry E. Burnell of West Poland. She is a 1995 graduate of Oxford Hills High School and is employed in child care.

Mr. Hamer is the son of Robert and Gladys Hamer Sr. of Port Matilda, Pa. He is a 1979 graduate of Pennsylvania School for the Deaf in Philadelphia and is a self-employed landscaper.

The wedding will be held at 6:30 p.m. on March 2 at Pine Grove Mills, Pa.
