ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) – Right-hander Brian Meadows’ $1.05 million option for next season was declined Friday by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays.

Meadows went 3-6 with eight saves and a 5.17 ERA in 53 relief appearances for the Devil Rays in 2006 while making $700,000, including $100,000 in performance bonuses. He gets a $500,000 buyout.
