AUBURN – Auburn Mites 1 and the Auburn Mites Flames skated to a 4-4 tie in recent action. Bryson Geary popped a hat trick for Mites 1, all in the third period with his team trailing 4-1. Gavin Bates tallied the first goal. Assists went to Caleb Rowland, Alex Landry and Cane Dulac (2). Liam Benson scored 2 goals for the Flames. Tyler Lacasio and Jordan Ohayon also lit the lamp. Drawing assists were Savannah Shaw (2), Connor Samson, Benson, Keely Arnold and Dana Latlippe. Matthew Verrill served in goal for Mites 1. Jacob Lawrence tended net for the Flames, now 1-2-1.

Maranacook wins, ties

Maranacook Peewees of the Maranacook Area Youth Hockey Association picked up a win and tie in recent action.

Maranacook and Auburn skated to a 3-3 deadlock. Ian Palmer, Chris Stanley and Tony McIvor scored for Maranacook. Receiving assists were Stanley and Tom Pietroski. River Mullen tended goal. Scoring for Auburn were Nick Labbe, Lafrinea and Joe Greco. Credited with assists were Trevor Haley, Labbe and Shaylin Collins.

Maranacook defeated Western Maine 5-1 as Stanley and Tyler Stockford each netted 2 goals. Zack Bassette tallied the other. Pietroski and Alex Ingram drew assists. Mullen was in net. Breanna Martin scored the lone Western goal, assisted by Timothy Leach.

Maranacook plays its home games at Kents Hill Alfond Arena. The team is made up of players from Monmouth, Livermore Falls, Winthrop, Readfield, Manchester, Fayette and Mt. Vernon.
