MEXICO – The Ladies Fellowship of the First Baptist Church invites the public to dinner, with all the trimmings, from 1 to 4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 23, at 20 Roxbury Road.
With the help of other members of the congregation, the women plan to set a meal for 80 to 150 local residents.
As with any good meal, plans started several months ago at the regular get-together and Bible study. Someone noted that it had been several years since the church invited the public for Thanksgiving. Plans began to be made to furnish a meal with turkey, bread and rolls, vegetables, potatoes and gravy as well as various pies.
Plans call for guests to come and go at their leisure from 1 to 4 p.m. No RSVP is necessary. For more information, visit the church during regular service hours, call 357-1250 or e-mail rocklight1@adelphia.net.
