FARMINGTON – A crowd of all ages turned out to support the Franklin County Children’s Task Force annual Make Tracks for Kids walk-a-thon recently. Despite rainy cold conditions, more than $4,000 was raised by walkers and sponsors.
Franklin Savings Bank was the corporate sponsor, donating $1,800 to the event. It also had one of the largest teams. The other large team was Curves. Both businesses will showcase their “Outstanding Community Leader” plaques in their businesses downtown.
Other teams participating were UMF staff and students, individual families, Goding’s Tae Kwon Do, Rotary and Camden National Corp.
Make Tracks for Kids is a yearly event for community members to support the programming of the Franklin County Children’s Task Force, which offers programs to strengthen families and reduce child abuse and neglect in Franklin County.
