LEWISTON – Emily Biliouris of Livermore received a Hoffman Research Support Grant for the past summer.
Hoffman Research Support Grants support students engaged in summer research. The grants of up to $1,000 can be used to support a short-or long-term research project in any discipline.
Biliouris, a senior psychology major, worked in the health and psychophysiology lab at Harvard University this summer. Her internship focused on how stress affects physiology and behavior, with emphasis on the physiological effects of discrimination. A dean’s list student, Biliouris displayed her findings at the annual Parents and Family Weekend poster presentation session.
