AUBURN – The wedding of Robin Elizabeth McGuire and Kevin Michael Desjardins was held at 10 a.m. on June 24 at Sacred Heart Church in Auburn. The Rev. Kevin Martin officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Desjardins is the daughter of Stephen and Jane McGuire of Auburn. Mr. Desjardins is the son of Raymond and Pauline Desjardins of Lewiston.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a strapless A-line gown with beaded split front and chapel train. She carried a bouquet of white and peach roses and spray roses and white miniature Calla lilies.

Beth Bennett, friend of the bride, attended as maid of honor, and bridesmaids were Kim Guay, cousin of the bride, Mandy Ryan and Crystal Hatch, friends of the bride, and Allison McGuire, sister of the bride.

Brian Desjardins performed the duties of best man for his brother, and ushers were Scott McGuire, brother of the bride, and Dan Sansoucy, friend of the bridegroom. Colby Desjardins, son of the bridegroom, was junior usher.

A reception followed at Lost Valley Lodge, after which the couple went to Antigua.

The bride is a 1998 graduate of Edward Little High School and a 2006 graduate of the University of Southern Maine with a bachelor’s degree in natural applied science and a minor in education. She is currently a full-time graduate student in the USM teacher certification program. After completion in May, she plans to pursue a master’s degree in education.

The bridegroom is a 1997 graduate of Lewiston High School and attended computer and automotive courses at Central Maine Community College. He is employed as an equipment operator at Davis Landscaping Inc. in Lisbon.
