AUBURN – The Corporate and Community Services Department at Central Maine Community College will present “Stress Busters for the Workplace” (CCS 018-01) from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 7. The cost of $105 includes materials.

Participants will learn to recognize symptoms of stress, remedies for dealing with difficult people or situations and tips for remaining cool in a time-crunched world. The course will cover management techniques and personal stress relief methods. Participants will leave with clear goals and an action plan for managing stress.

The workshop will be facilitated by Debra Mattson. Mattson holds two master’s degrees: one in adult education from the University of Southern Maine and one in business from Husson College. Mattson has experience working with adult learners as a coach, program designer, evaluator, workforce development trainer and teacher at the post-secondary level.
