WATERVILLE – Ashley Marble finished with 24 points and 12 rebounds as the University of Southern Maine women’s basketball team pulled away in the second half for a 71-57 win over Colby College in women’s basketball Wednesday.

Stacey Kent had 14 points and was 4-for-5 from 3-point range.

Framingham State 66, St. Joe’s 52

STANDISH – Robin Morrow scored a game-high 23 points to help Framingham State beat St. Joseph’s College 66-52 Wednesday evening.

St. Joe’s 82, Framingham State 69

STANDISH – Elbie Murphy drained 19 points, and had eight rebounds and eight assists as St. Joseph’s posted an 82-69 win over Framingham State Wednesday evening in a men’s basketball matchup.

St. Joseph’s (5-2) Colby Emmons added 14 points, while Chad Pulkkinen chipped in with 13 points.

The Framingham (6-3) effort was led by Bill Carey with a game-high 21 points.

Colby 83, USM 57

WATERVILLE – Nick Farrell finished with 26 points and eight assists to help Colby College beat the University of Southern Maine 83-57 Wednesday.

Adam Choice, Nick Planeta, and Mark Gaudet all had 10 points for Colby. Michael Westbrooks added nine points and a team-high seven rebounds for the Mules (4-3). Martin Jordan had 14 points to pace the USM (2-4) effort.

Drew Coppenrath had 10 points and eight boards, while John Sewall also had 10 points.
