DAYTONA, Fla. – Senior forward Ashley Marble recorded her 30th career double-double, scoring 22 points and grabbing 10 rebounds to lead three players in double-figures as the University of Southern Maine Huskies rolled to a 66-48 win over the Clark University (Mass.) Cougars on Thursday.

Marble’s 22-point effort moved her into fourth all-time in career points scored at USM with 1,463 points. The 5-9 forward is averaging a team-leading 19.4 points per game.

Freshman guard Nicole Paradis added a career-high 14 points and five steals while senior forward Lauren Samuelson chipped in with 10 points, three blocked shots and a career-high nine rebounds for the Huskies (8-1).

Senior center Ashley Auclair and freshman forward Ruth Briggs each scored 12 points to lead Clark (3-7).

Men’s hockey

Bowdoin 2, Salem State 0

SALEM, Mass. – Rick Smith stoped all 21 shots he faced as the Bowdoin College men’s ice hockey team claimed its third-straight Salem State Holiday Classic crown with a 2-0 win over the host Vikings Thursday night.

Matt Lentini put the Polar Bears (6-0-3) on the board with a goal at 10:06 of the opening period. Mike Collins doubled the lead with a goal at 14:22 of the second period.

Ryan Hatch made 42 saves in defeat for Salem State (4-6-0).
