BIDDEFORD – Veronica H. Blanchard, 90, a resident of Bellaire Drive in Livermore Falls, passed away Monday, Jan. 1, at St. Andre Health Care Facility after a brief illness.

She was born on June 5, 1916, in Tupper Lake, N.Y., the daughter of Peter and Cora (Bissonnette) Bedore and attended the local schools. On Feb. 13, 1932, she married Edward Blanchard in Tupper Lake, N.Y.

They relocated to Livermore Falls in 1965, where they made their home and raised their children. They had celebrated 59 years of marriage prior to Edward’s death on Nov. 21, 1991. She was a former member of the Livermore Falls and Jay Senior Citizens and a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay. She was also a member of the Daughters of Isabella.

She is survived by four sons and their wives, Robert J. and Theresa Blanchard of Biddeford, Terry B. and Michaele Blanchard of Fairport, N.Y., Thomas E. and Barbara Blanchard of Scottsdale, Ariz. and William P. Blanchard of Niagara Falls, N.Y.; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband; a brother, Romeo J. Bedore; and a sister, Anita Fuller.
