Wei-Lei Restaurant gets award
AUBURN – The Wei-Lei Restaurant, at 945 Center St., has been honored as one of the nation’s top 100 Chinese restaurants. According to owner Cam Luu, the honor is based in part upon the healthy menu items served at the restaurant.
The award was given at a ceremony held in December in Los Angeles. TV celebrity chefs Theresa Lin and Martin Yan presented the actual award to both Cam Luu and his mother Hoang Ngoc Anh. A framed copy of the award is now hanging in the restaurant’s entryway.
The restaurant, which has been open since 2002, offers sit-down service in a family atmosphere along with a take-out service. It is open Tuesday through Sunday. For more information, call 344-0022
