POLAND – A man convicted of sexually molesting a preschool girl last year has moved back into his Bailey Hill Road home, police announced on Thursday.

Androscoggin County Sheriff’s officials have been advising neighbors, schools and others that Michael E. Fogg, 22, has been released after serving time for unlawful sexual contact.

In February 2005, Fogg was indicted on a charge that he sexually abused a girl under the age of 5.

Fogg was ultimately convicted of the crime. He was sentenced to six years in prison, but four years were suspended. He was freed in November.

Upon his release from prison, Fogg was ordered to take a risk assessment test. Police said Fogg was identified through the test as being at a high risk of reoffending.

ASO officials are cautioning residents that it is illegal to harass, threaten or torment a convicted pedophile. However, they are also asking that anyone with questions or concerns about Fogg’s presence call the Sheriff’s Department at 785-7361 ext. 214 .

or the Sexual Assault Crisis Center at 1-800-871-7741.
