LEWISTON – A mini-series on the Holy Eucharist titled “The Eucharist is Like the Burning Bush in Exodus 3:12” will be presented by Sr. Marie May Lausier at Holy Cross Church Senior Hall, 16 Ste. Croix St.

The dates will be as follows:

Saturday, Feb. 10, from 10 a.m. to noon, “Approaching the Fire: Come and See.”

Saturday, March 3, from 10 a.m. to noon, “Touching the Fire: Taste and See.”

Saturday, March 10, from 10 a.m. to noon, “Being the Fire: Go Tell.”

Lausier, a native of Grand Isle, is of the Presentation of Mary. After a successful teaching career, she specialized in spirituality and for the past 30 years has served as spiritual director, presenter for retreats and workshops.

She is the provincial director of the lay members of the congregation. Three years ago, she helped set up the first Chapel of Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration in the diocese in their convent in Saco.

Lausier’s background includes an M.A. from Fairfield University, in Connecticut; a certification in Marian Studies from the Marina Institute in Dayton, Ohio, and in giving the exercises of St. Ignatius from Guelph Center of Spirituality in Ontario.

She also studied spirituality at the Gregorian University in Rome and has written an updated biography of their foundress, Blessed Marie Rivier, after spending a year of research in their archives in France.
