AUBURN – The Corporate and Community Services Department at Central Maine Community College will offer a 10-hour “OSHA Course for General Industry” (CCS 091-01) from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesdays, March 6 and 13.
The cost of $250 includes materials.
The course is designed for people responsible for complying with or directly supporting the Occupational Safety and Health Act. It is an introduction to OSHA CFRs as they apply to the general industry. Participants completing the course will receive the OSHA 10-hour course card.
The course will be taught by Thomas Ryan, chairman of the Occupational Health and Safety Department at Central Maine Community College. With more than 17 years in the safety profession, Ryan has a B.A. from Siena College, an M.B.A. from Thomas College and an M.S. in work environment policy from the University of Massachusetts Lowell. He holds several certifications, including certified safety professional and construction health and safety technician and is a member of the American Society of Safety Engineers.
