LIVERMORE FALLS – The Livermore Falls-Jay Senior Citizens met at Murray Hall on Feb. 19 with 30 members present. Chairwoman Shirley Couture opened the meeting with a prayer, salute to the flag and a moment of silence for departed members and the men and women in the Armed Forces.

Mary Groleau led in singing “America” in observance of President’s Day. It was reported Dora Slovak remains on the sick list.

Monday was the last day to sign up for the monthly SeniorsPlus meal on Monday, Feb. 26. Couture reminded the members about the St. Paddy’s party at the Indian Head Resort, Lincoln, N.H., scheduled for March 16. The price is $57.

On Monday, Feb. 26, the seniors will have as a speaker Conrad Wurtz, a licensed psychologist, who will talk about sleep disorders/

The 50-50 was won by Athanase Couture. The meeting was adjourned, after which a Chinese auction was held and cards and games played.
