LEWISTON – Fortier Family Cheer Center members attended the fourth annual Great Northeast Spirit Classic held in Pelham, N.H., on Feb. 18. Planet Cheer’s Junior Level 3 team cheered their way to a first-place finish and scored the highest of the day, earning the title of grand champions.
This is Planet Cheer’s second grand champion title of the season. The Planet Cheer Youth Level 2 teams placed second, while the Planet Cheer Senior Level 4 earned a first-place title.
Several Planet Cheer cheerleaders competed in the “Jump and Tumble Off” individual competition. Shelby Rucker earned Top Tiny Tumbler, Emily Roth earned Top Tiny Jumper, Ashley Pratt earned Top Mini Jumper, Hannah Hawes was named Top Youth Tumbler and Top Youth Jumper,
Sarah Faulkingham earned Top Senior Jumper Session 2, Angie Scripture earned Top Senior Jumper Session 3 and Cat Haley was named Top Individual Cheerleader, Top Junior Jumper and Top Junior Tumbler.
Planet Cheer teams have earned seven first-place trophies and one second-place trophy and two grand champion titles early in the season.
