PARIS – The Norway Paris Kiwanis Club will host the annual winter breakfast from 7 to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 10, at the Paris Fire Station, Western Avenue, South Paris.

The cost for adults and children age 12 and older is $6 a person; free for all children age 11 and under. Children must be accompanied by adults. Families will eat while having the company of live storybook characters such as Donald Duck, Tigger, Zack the Monkey and Cat in the Hat.

Children may bring their well-read books to swap at the Right Start book swap table. All children will receive one new book of their choice along with the swap, which is sponsored by the local Right Start volunteers and Kiwanis.

Right Start is one of the many youth activities sponsored yearly by Kiwanians. The Kiwanis International mission is to “change the world one child and one community at a time.”

Instant photos will be for sale capturing the children and storybook characters. The Cat in the Hat invites everyone to celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday and the conclusion of “Read Across America.”

People may bring the extended family. There will be free drawings for books from Right Start and items from Paricon Inc. Also this year, there will be a 50/50 raffle drawing. Winners do not need to be present to win.

The full country breakfast is like the one held in July at the yearly Kiwanis Rotary auction, which is scheduled for July 8 this year at the Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School. For more information about the breakfast or joining Kiwanis, contact Kathy Laplante at 583-2978.
