STANDISH (AP) – State Police arrested a 21-year-old man Saturday, charging him with the stabbing death of his father.
Kristian McKay is charged with murdering Donald McKay, 60. The younger McKay is expected to appear in court Monday in Portland.
The victim’s wife, Catherine McKay, reported the stabbing to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department at noon.
State Police spokesman Steve McCausland said authorities were seeking a search warrant to begin examining the Manchester Road home. Donald McKay’s body was to be taken to Augusta for an autopsy.
