On Friday, November 17 the eighth graders of Monmouth Middle School were taken on a field trip to the Maine State Library to research their invention project.

Part of the time the students researched their projects then they went on a guided tour of the state house. Representative Nancy Smith of Monmouth met the students at the state house and accompanied them on their guided tour.

Finally the students went into the Maine State Museum and went around, looking for information to the Scavenger Hunt they were given. They returned to school later that afternoon with a good report.
