LEWISTON – The Grace and Peace Fellowship, Lewiston’s newest church, will host its first public event, a candlelight vigil marking four years of war with Iraq at 7 p.m. Friday, March 16, at the Trinity Episcopal Church.
The church will stand in solidarity with thousands of faithful worshipers in Washington, D.C., who will gather at the National Cathedral and march to the White House.
Members of the community are invited to come together in remembrance of lives lost and in prayer for peace. The Rev. David J. Wood will speak. Candles will be lit for the deaths of Maine soldiers in the war.
