Dinner/dance

JAY – Frank L. Mitchell VFW Post 3335, 64 Jewell St., is sponsoring a St. Patrick’s Day dinner and dance on Saturday, March 17. Proceeds will benefit veterans participating in the VFW Department of Maine statewide bowling tournament scheduled for later this month in Augusta.

A dinner of ham and cabbage with all the fixings will be served from 6 to 7 p.m. followed by a dance with the band Forefront from 8 p.m. to midnight.

Tickets are $10 a person and are available in advance at the post or at the door on the evening of the event. For more information, call the post at 897-5112 or LAVFW President Lynn Dunton at 897-2640.

Center auction

WILTON – The annual auction for the Wilton Early Childhood Center will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, March 30, at the Cushing School. Adrian Harris will be the volunteer auctioneer.

A food sale will be held and Wilton students will provide child care and help Harris. The Early Childhood Center provides low cost programs for infants through age 6. Call 645-2442 for more information.

Legion supper

LIVERMORE FALLS – A baked bean and casserole supper will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, March 24, at the American Legion, 17 Reynolds Ave. Call 897-5676 for take-out meals within a five-mile radius.

Yard sale

WILTON – A Girls Talk Indoor Yard Sale will be held, including white elephant items, from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 24, at the Academy Hill School cafeteria. For more information, call Katie Hallman at 645-4488.
