RUMFORD – The annual Big Brothers Big Sisters Bowl For Kids’ Sake fundraiser is coming soon. It is the largest fundraiser for the Child Health Center’s Big Brothers Big Sisters mentoring programs and will help to support the more than 40 matches in the River Valley Community.

This year the event will be held on Saturday, April 28, at the Oxford Lanes, Route 2. Bowl For Kids’ Sake sponsors and bowlers raise funds needed to match local children with a Big Brother or Big Sister in area towns.

The event will feature prizes and awards to bowling team participants, including a grand prize drawing. For every $100 a bowlers raises, they will have the opportunity to enter the grand prize drawing and become eligible to win a 42-inch plasma TV.

Big Brothers Big Sisters encourages anyone interested in helping to make a difference in the life of a child, to organize, join or sponsor a bowling team. Each team member raises advance contributions from family, friends, co-workers and employers to help provide hundreds of annual Big Brother Big Sister mentoring matches in the communities.

To participate, contact Big Brothers Big Sisters at 743-7035 or e-mail [email protected].
