FARMINGTON – The United Way of the Tri-Valley Area has recognized three local small businesses for donating to the United Way as new small business contributors. Contributing to the 2006-2007 annual fund drive campaign are Sparkes Hearing Services, Riverbend Apartments and Bean and Smith Real Estate, all of Farmington.

The United Way of the Tri-Valley Area encourages individuals or businesses to consider contributing to the current annual fund drive campaign, if they have not already done so.

The money raised goes to the local agencies. The agencies that are supported in part by United Way dollars were able to help 12,255 people in the tri-valley area the past year. The people needed some kind of assistance that was offered by one of the 24 agencies funded.

Anyone interested in contributing to the 2007 United Way campaign or having questions about the United Way should contact Executive Director Nancy Morgan at 778-5048 or nancy@uwtva.org, or visit www.uwtva.org.
