Paris Elementary School fifth-grader August Abbott models her Paris Twirlers costume. The Paris Twirlers is a newly formed group at school, under the guidance of teacher MaryEllen Baizley, nationally certified baton twirling instructor, and brought to the school through the 21st Century Grant and CLUBPARIS. About 15 students have been practicing their routines for the Oxford Hills Baton Recital on Friday, April 13, at Paris Elementary School; Maine Games Competition in Waterville, Saturday, May 12; and performance, Paris Elementary School morning assembly Monday, June 4.
