OES to install
AUBURN – A new slate of officers for Pine Cone Chapter 26, Order of the Eastern Star, will be installed at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 31, at the Masonic Hall, 1021 Turner St.
Madelyn Grover will be installed a first-time worthy matron and Stephen Broas, worthy patron.
Stephanie Dupal, past matron, will be installing matron, assisted by Samuel Kelly, past patron as installing Patron. Other installing officers will be Pauline Cloudman, Marshal; Edward Webber, Chaplain; Betty Syvinski, Grand Organist; Josephine Dupal, Star Point Ceremony and Natasha Johnson, soloist.
Refreshments will be served following the installation. It is a public installation. Anyone interested in learning more about Eastern Star is welcome.
Yard, bake sale
MONMOUTH – An indoor yard and bake sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 31, sponsored by the East Monmouth Ladies Church Auxiliary in the church vestry, Route 135. The sale will also feature lobster rolls and hot dogs.
Fortier chapter
LEWISTON – The Dr. Paul Fortier Chapter 52, Association Canado-Americaine, will gather at 7 p.m. Monday, April 2, in the Senior Citizens Room of the Multi-Purpose Center. There will be refreshments and a social hour after the business meeting.

Art club meeting
AUBURN – The annual meeting of the Auburn Art Club will be held at noon Wednesday, April 4, at Central Maine Community College. The Culinary Arts Department will prepare a luncheon.
Members will be entertained by a mini-reader’s theater presentation. Participants will be club members, June Spear, Barbara Randall, Barbara Ring and Sarah Andersen.
Hostesses for the meeting will be President Elinor Brockway, Vice President Judith Johnson, Recording Secretary Libby Reichard, Treasurer Kathy Gleason and Corresponding Secretary Janet Pelletier.
Seniors meeting
SABATTUS – The Sabattus Senior Citizens meeting will be held Thursday, April 12, not April 5, Holy Thursday. The meal will be spaghetti and meat balls, salad, dessert and beverages.

Celebrates 90
LISBON – A surprise birthday party was held for Georgette McCarthy to honor her on her 90th birthday at Graziano’s Restaurant. A life-long resident of Lisbon, she was greeted by her family from near and far.
Among those who attended were Claire and Jim Kelly of Lisbon Falls; Bob and Gert McCarthy of Hollis Center; Collette and Lee Ledlow of Eliot; Theresa and Albie Laprise of Lisbon Falls; Dee Dee and Karl King of Lisbon Falls; Lynn McCarthy of Fort Lauderdale; and Laurette Beaulieu, her sister, of Lewiston.
Also present were 14, grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
Bottle drive
