LIVERMORE FALLS – New Norlands Grange met at the home of Emily Pike on March 24 with 12 members present. Frances Berry, who has been visiting in Florida for three months, was welcomed.

Master Robert Jones reported on liability insurance for the grange. Members voted to accept the offer of Macumber-Farr-Whitten of Augusta. They also voted to let the hall to the Country Bandits for a county dance from 7:30 to 11 p.m. Saturday, May 5.

The CAPP tool sale will be held on Tuesday, April 3. The Committee on Women’s Activities will handle the refreshments. The congo bars were judged by Esther Watson and Noella Mercier. Emily Pike was winner of the five contestants.

The literary program included singing, “My Wild Irish Rose”; hints that work, Frances Berry; skit, “A Dream of a Lifetime,” Lorraine Chretien and Robert Jones; and automobile game, conducted by Raymond Hedges. Emily Pike read an article on diabetes and kidney disease. Leroy Souther was reported home from the hospital and suffering from congestive heart failure.

Grangers will meet at the hall at noon Saturday, April 28. A potluck lunch will be open to the public. The program will start at 1:30 p.m.
