WILTON – The Planning Board approved the application for Sandy River Homes and as well as a retail expansion for a wood-products business on Depot Street on Thursday.

The new modular and mobile home sales lot, proposed by Dale Leighton and Marty Pike of Farmington, will be on Route 2 East, across from the Big Apple. KBS Modular Homes of Paris and mobile homes by a new company, Eagle River, will be featured. Pike said he wants the business to open by early June.

The retail expansion request, submitted by Michael Deschenes, included a 35- by 70-foot storage building.
