LEWISTON – The Franco American Heritage Center is preparing for Festival FrancoFun 2007 and will be in need of volunteers.

This year the festival is scheduled for Aug. 3, 4 and 5 at Androscoggin Bank Colisee, and volunteer chairpersons are Roland Bergeron and Joline Richard.

The initial meeting for all interested in being part of the volunteer staff will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 19, in the Shipyard Lounge at the Colisee.

There are a variety of volunteer positions available, including production, food service, ushering, security and parking. And in anticipation of larger audiences for the second annual event, new positions have been created to ensure a safe and secure festival.
