LEWISTON – The deadline has been extended to accept applications for the annual $500 Alfred A. Plourde Memorial Scholarship.
The scholarship, in memory of a Lewiston mayor, was established in 1990 and is awarded each year to the Lewiston High School senior who is pursuing a post-secondary education and shows the most interest and promise in a public service career. As of the original April 13 deadline, no applications had been submitted.
