FARMINGTON – Everyone’s Resource Depot has announced kite-making workshops from 3 to 5 p.m. Friday, April 27, and from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 28.

The depot is located in the new education center, UMF campus, corner of High and Lincoln streets. The workshops are open to all ages, and participants will be able to choose from several types of kites made from recycled materials.

A small fee will cover all materials and instruction. The workshops are being held in conjunction with the UMF Kite Fest on April 28. For more information, call Mary Ryan at 778-7150.

Play at UMF

FARMINGTON – “Cracked Shells,” a play by Jayne Decker, will be held Thursday, April 26, and Saturday and Sunday, May 4 and 5, at Alumni Theatre, UMF. All performances will be at 7:30 p.m. Proceeds will benefit Peace in Our Families. Donations will be taken at the door. For more information, call 779-3150.

Rabies clinic

SALEM – The Salem Fire Department Auxiliary is sponsoring a rabies clinic from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 28, at the fire station. The cost is $8 a pet. A three-year vaccine will be given with proof of previous vaccine. Tags and certificates will be given. Vaccines will be given by the Clearwater Veterinary Hospital.

Handbag sale

FARMINGTON – A two-day handbags and accessories fundraising sale will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, April 30 and May 1, in the Franklin Memorial Hospital lobby. The fundraiser is sponsored by the Franklin Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.

Rummage sale

RANGELEY – The Episcopal Church Women will sponsor the annual spring rummage sale in the church undercroft, Main Street, from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 4, and from 9:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 5.

The two-day sale gives buyers a chance to check out all the newly arrived items, which include women’s wear, jeans, slacks, sweaters, jackets, clothing for youngsters and baby clothes. Boutique specials and household goods will also be available.

Forum breakfast

WILTON – An Early Bird Community Forum Breakfast will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 2, at the Wilton Congregational Church, 386 Main St. Speaker: will be Wilton Police Chief Dennis Brown. Admission is free and the public is welcome.

Church supper

WILTON – A free public supper will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. Saturday, May 5, at the Wilton Congregational Church, 386 Main St. There will be casseroles, salads, desserts and breads. Admission is free and the public is invited. It is being sponsored by the churches of the Wilton Ecumenical Community Outreach.

Spring dance

JAY – A spring dance will be held from 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday, May 5, at the Jay VFW Hall. Music will be by Rockn’ Country (Art and Lorelei) with guest, Del Parker. Admission is $5. A cash snack bar will be available. For more information, call 689-5051 or 689-5052.
