With the rise in gas prices, why can’t government officials require the use of gasohol, just as people had to use in the mid-1970s when Jimmy Carter was president? Gasohol was much cheaper and seemed to give better gas mileage than the gas we use now.

For those cars that couldn’t use gasohol, there was a gas additive people could also use. That also contained an alcohol additive for better mileage.

As far as I’m concerned, it made more sense than the high gas prices we are currently paying.

Gasohol is the ony way to go and pay less at the pump.
