Food sale
OXFORD – The employees of Oxford Homes will sell food to benefit Christmas for Kids in the Oxford Hills at the sixth annual Oxford Hills Manufactured Housing show on Saturday and Sunday, April 28 and 29.
Oxford Homes invites everyone to visit the “Home Rock” Cafe for burgers, hot dogs, fries, chips, coffee, soft drinks, water and lemonade. Recorded music from 1977 will be played in celebration of Oxford Homes’ 30th year in business.
In addition to the Home Rock Cafe, Oxford Homes holds raffles, car washes, bake sales, golf tournaments, auctions and lawn sales to benefit the program. Last year they raised $10,750.
Family supper
WEST PARIS – A church family supper will be held at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, April 29, at the West Paris Baptist Church followed by an Outreach program meeting.
Benefit supper
HEBRON – A benefit potluck supper for the Nelson family, who lost their home to a fire, will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, May 5, at the Hebron Fire Station. It will be sponsored by the Auxiliary and the Hebron Fire Department. For more information, contact Marion Hall at 966-2663.
Tea and fashions
NORWAY – The Women’s Fellowship of the Second Congregational Church, United Church of Christ, 205 Main St., will hold a high tea and fashion show for Mother’s Day at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 5.
All are welcome to attend for an afternoon English tea with antique tea cups, tea cakes and finger sandwiches, while seeing a fashion show of vintage reproduction dresses and accessories, created by Beth Allen, as well as some authentic pieces from the past.
The cost is $5 in advance or $6 at the door. Advance tickets may be purchased at the church from 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday or during coffee hour at 11 a.m. Sundays. All are invited.
Anyone who has vintage hats, shawls, gloves or other pieces that they would like to wear is welcome. For more information, call the church office at 743-2290.
Church schedule
OXFORD – The Hosanna New Testament Church, 109 Schoolhouse Rd., holds Sunday worship at 10 a.m. with a KIDS Church during the sermon.
Mid-week meetings include 6 p.m. Tuesdays, young adults meeting, and Wednesdays for everyone, 10 a.m. and 7 p.m.
There are monthly ladies fellowship and men’s meetings. Pastors are Eric Hanson and Dallas Henry.
