Central Maine Detachment, Marine Corps League, met at the New Auburn American Legion Post 153 to holding a “Draping the Charter” ceremony in honor of a former Marine, Carroll Hebert, who died at the Maine Veterans Home, South Paris, after a lengthy illness. He had served in the Vietnam conflict 1965 to 1967. He is survived by his wife, Joan Hebert, of Auburn, two daughters and five grandchildren. Hebert was a member of the Central Maine Detachment.
