Genealogy meet
FARMINGTON – The Sandy River Valley Chapter, Maine Genealogical Society, will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 5, at the Farmington Public Library. A group discussion will include help for research problems. Anyone with an interest in genealogy is welcome.
Rummage sale
LIVERMORE FALLS – A rummage and food sale will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 5, at the First Baptist Church. The event is sponsored by the American Baptist Women to benefit their mission program.
ATV meeting
SALEM – The Mt. Abram Trail Riders ATV Club will meet at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 6, at Mt. Abram High School in Salem Township. The public is invited.
Car hop slated
KINGFIELD – The sixth annual Old Fashioned Drive-in Car Hop will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 18, at the Kingfield Woodsman, Main Street.
There will be a live DJ, 50-50 raffle and classic cars on display. There is a $5 registration fee. The drawing for the annual raffle will take place during the evening.
All proceeds will go to American Cancer Society. The event is sponsored by the Relay For Life team, Friends and Family Ties. Rain date will be Saturday, May 19.
