Spring cleanup
NORWAY – The Norway Parks and Recreation Department will hold the annual Community Spring Clean-Up at Lake Pennesseewassee Park from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 5. The work will consist of raking the public boat landing area, trails and beaches.
Lake Pennesseewassee Park is open to the public regardless of residence. Those going should bring gloves and rakes. Those fulfilling community service requirements should bring paperwork and check in with Norway Parks and Recreation Director Deb Partridge.
Library speaker
WOODSTOCK – Jim Mason of West Paris will be the guest speaker at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 10, at the Whitman Memorial Library. The program will feature his antler creations. All are welcome free and light refreshments will be served.
Norlands trip
LIVERMORE – The Oxford Hills Travelers are holding a Lunch, Laugh and Learn trip to Norlands in Livermore.
Reservations must be made by Tuesday, May 15. The next trip will be Wednesday, Aug. 15, to Castle in the Clouds in New Hampshire. Call Pat Pulkkinen at 743-8513 for more information or to make reservations.
