Dear Sun Spots: Your readers have helped me on previous research projects. Now I’m researching and writing a book on Lewiston’s history before the Civil War. I have visited various libraries and historical societies and used their resources. Now if anyone has items such as diaries, letters, or documents before 1863 or newspapers before 1855, it would be a tremendous help if I could see them under circumstances to ensure their safety. I may be reached at 782-3072.

Many thanks to Sun Spots readers for your help. – Doug Hodgkin, Lewiston.

Dear Sun Spots: I have another question for Sun Spots.

Thanks for all the help you have given me in the past. Last March my husband and I attended some of the spring training games in Florida. I took lots of photographs of players and would like to have some of them autographed. Do you know the addresses of the Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees and how I should address mail to players like Matsusaka, Pena, Ramirez, etc? Thanks for your help. – Frances C. Miller, No Town.

Answer:

Write to Yankees Fan Mail Department, New York Yankees, Yankee Stadium, Bronx, NY 10451. Fans who have questions or comments about the New York Yankees should e-mail customerservice@yankees.com.
